The 51³Ô¹ÏÍøTV Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has made six arrests following the recovery of stolen vehicles in two separate incidents.
On Thursday, March 6, shortly before 3 a.m., officers located and stopped a stolen vehicle on Highway 417 eastbound in The Nation Municipality. 69-year-old Ronald Houle of Saint-Come, Québec, 25-year-old Leonard Paul René Otoghe Minkoue of Montréal, and 26-year-old Maxime Pimpare of Pointe-aux-Trembles, Québec were arrested and charged with:
· Possessing an automobile master key
· Possession of break in instruments
· Theft of a vehicle
· Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5,000
· Mischief to computer data
· Trafficking in property obtained by crime
In addition, Houle and Pimpare were also charged with failure to comply with an undertaking. Otoghe Minkoue was also charged with failure to comply with an undertaking and fail to comply with a probation order.
Then, about an hour later, just after 4 a.m., officers responded to a report that someone was trying to steal a vehicle. Officers with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, arrested three individuals. 25-year-old Stevenson Boiron of Montréal, 21-year-old Angellio Gaudrault-Corbin of Laval and 18-year-old William Chavarie of Anjou, Québec were arrested and charged with:
· Possessing an automobile master key
· Theft of a vehicle
· Possession of break in instruments
· Mischief to computer data
All six individuals were held for a bail hearing on March 6, 2025 before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal.
